Harold Camping: Third Time's the Charm?

He’s done it again! October 21st?
I looked up some verses, and this is where my thoughts are about all of this.
Matthew 24:36
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.”
1 Thessalonians 4:17
"Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord."
Whether you believe in the term “Rapture” or not, and whether you are hopeful for pre-tribulation (Matthew 24:22 "Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.”) or are believing in a post tribulation “Rapture” or Coming (which from my simple reading looks quite likely) or if you have some other understanding, Camping shouldn’t have predicted when the Lord would / shall return.
I feel it’s okay to have debate but not division over interpretation of certain passages of Scripture by honest theologians (and it makes me mad when people try to divide true Christians), but I’ve read about what God thinks of false prophets and their judgment.
Also, Jesus said this as part of the signs of His coming, the ending of the age:
Matthew 24:11-14
“Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. “But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Ezekiel 13:6,7 about Israel’s false prophets of peace:
“They see falsehood and lying divination who are saying, ‘The LORD declares,’ when the LORD has not sent them; yet they hope for the fulfillment of their word. “Did you not see a false vision and speak a lying divination when you said, ‘The LORD declares,’ but it is not I who have spoken?”’
I somehow feel sorry for Harold Camping even though I shouldn’t. He has deceived many, and many gave a lot of money for a lie. My Dad actually met Mr. Camping many many years ago.
Harold Camping was kicked out of a church, and he got to the point where he thought people should just listen to Family Radio instead of obeying the Bible about not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.
1 John 4:1 was shared by a guy on my Facebook friends list:
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
