Three Men On Trial This Week For Proclaiming The Gospel - Prayer Request

UPDATE on the men arrested last year while they were proclaiming the Gospel in the U.K.
The trial has begun, and the case may be decided next week.
There were four arrested, but one of them had the charge dropped against him.
One of the men, Mike Stockwell, is a mutual friend of a number of my online acquaintances.
I have been impressed by what I have seen of him.
Please pray.

See the back stories on this:

Four Men Arrested For Proclaiming The Gospel

Mike Overd tells his story.

UPDATE • February 24, 2017 •  Adrian Clark has had the case against him dismissed.
The cases against the two Mikes are still going forward.

UPDATE • February 28, 2017 •   American Mike Stockwell & British Mike Overd ruled "guilty" of "religiously aggravated public disorder."  This is a miscarriage of justice.  They are already having the verdict appealed.  Christians, please pray for these men & the U.K.

Coming Home - Prayer Request Update

On December 24th, 2016 my Dad went into the hospital.
This morning, January 25th, 2017, he is supposed to come home from a nursing facility.
He still has a life vest, and he needs pureed food.
He will need home health care.
He has been able to walk with a walker at times, but he has low blood pressure with exercise.
We are nervous and excited, and I'm not sure that we are prepared enough!
It has been a long stressful time - what with us first having the flu, and now a cold virus is in the house (which came from the nursing home).
I've also been having other issues going on for me and other family members, so it's really been tough.
I wish that I would trust God enough to be at peace, but I'm thankful that God has mercy and grace for those of us who are weak.
I continue to cry out to Him when I feel I can't endure.

I am thankful for the prayers of the saints.
There will be hurdles and difficulties, so I hope that you will continue to pray!

Personal Update, Live-Stream Understanding The Bible Conference, & Bad News / Good News

Personal Update:

My balance has been crummy lately again (along with dizziness), but I made the most of yesterday even with my fibromyalgia pain before we found out I might not have the test / scan that had previously been scheduled.  They had apparently decided the day of to postpone my appointment, which I had waited for over a month to have (and was unwilling to have at a different time of day due to some health issues).  Thankfully, my sister helped me out, and they allowed me to have my appointment just an hour later the day it was scheduled.

After being put under anesthesia today, I can't do much of anything either.  Yeah, I'm not supposed to sign anything or do anything important, and this post?
Well, we shall see how it turns out!

Actually, since I had some therapy for part of my dizziness issues again a couple of days ago, I had to avoid bending down yesterday.  Even though I am mostly using a companion wheelchair, this increased my limitations even more.  Still, I did have some enjoyment yesterday before the scan today.

Live-Stream Bible Conference

Have you a desire to understand God's Word better?
October 9th-10th, 2015 there is a a Live-stream Conference that should be very helpful for those who are interested.  Pastor Don Green was formerly a teacher at Grace Community Church where John MacArthur is the main pastor, and his last conference on The Bible & Homosexuality was a good one as well.

Chinese Struggle for Freedom / Update On Chen Guangcheng

The video below from early June was extremely interesting for me to watch / listen to. As you know, I have been interested in China for many years.   You can learn a little more about Bob Fu and the plight of Christians and others in China.   It's also very telling to see how U.S. Presidents have responded to the situation there.  While I desire freedom for people in China, I desire most that more people also have the freedom from sin and death that Christ can give.  Please watch the video and then follow the link below to see an update on Chen Guangcheng.
