In recent times a lot of the people I follow or listen to online have been focusing on false teaching & teachers & bloggers who are in error & those who  have cultic behavior.  I recommend viewing the following sites:

There are a lot of good teachers &bloggers out there who need to be encouraged as well as held accountable, but it is important to avoid the bad ones who slander or lead people away from a right understanding of God’s Word.

Security in Troubled Times & Probing the Gosnell Syndrome

The IRS scandal, terrorist threats, some forms of immorality being exalted, Lies, murdering of babies, denying God, and pressure for Christians to disobey God ... this is just the tip of the iceberg of what is coming.  In China and Islamic countries we can see already what it is like for freedom to be taken away.  How do we find peace and security and react in a way that pleases God in difficult circumstances?

A lot of people are now familiar with the abortionist Gosnell who was sentenced recently to life in prison.  He is not the only one whose desire for money and callousness brought him to the point of not caring where the location of the baby was when he took his or her life.  After all, people allowed him to kill in the womb and the child is just as human and alive there as outside and the law didn't care.  Mothers go to those places wanting their babies dead, so abortionists are willing to oblige them.  Is our culture not accepting of this?  Many of us as Christians cringe, but how many of us do anything?  Do those of us who are Christians often not throw up our hands helplessly or think we have done enough?  The mother and the abortionists and "clinic" workers need the Gospel, and on a human level it is good to offer help to at least save a life and make sure babies are cared for.  One day that child may grow up and be granted repentance and faith.

God's Choice, The Republican Party, Social Media, & Persecution

• Last Sunday I listened to a message live online from Grace Community Church.  Some of it reminded me of a good explanation I learned from someone else in recent times relating to God's choosing of believers and man's choice.  We can only choose what is in accordance with our nature (like a person does not have the nature of a bird to be like a bird).  Until God makes alive and gives someone a new nature they can only choose evil according to their sinful nature.  You can listen to the message "The Divine Summons" by John MacArthur here.  I recommend it!

• "How to Prepare for Hostility" by Kevin DeYoung is another article I read the other week that is worth sharing.  How do you get ready for persecution and trials as a believer?   I found this to be a helpful reminder of where focus should be.

 

Are There Exceptions For Abortion?

So many people try to differentiate abortions by situation.
Does the motive behind an abortion or the criminal behavior of one parent (the father) make a difference in the humanity of a conceived human being?
If a crime is done to you, does that justify the taking of an innocent human life? 
What about the the babies who survive abortions?  Are their lives valuable?
If a mother's life is in danger, does that mean that the baby's life should be ignored ... or do you feel that if at all possible that both should be cared for? 
If human life is valuable in most cases to you, why is it not valuable in all cases?

Recently, a video has been passed around and shared in various places that puts a human face on the issue of abortion.  It also exposes how callousness towards life can make the convenience of doctors outweigh the life of a child already born.

Is murder only wrong in some cases and not in others? 
I think that most people know that the taking of innocent human life is wrong.  Our conscience pricks us when we do wrong, and the Bible makes it fully clear that murder is a sin against God.
I certainly believe that all conceived babies are fully human and thus deserving of protection and care. 
God is the Author of life and Fashioner of the pre-born (Psalm 139:15-16). Only those that deny scientific knowledge of the beginnings of human life or place little value on life because of their denial of God or are afraid of or ignorant of the facts will continue to callously insist that abortion is okay.
This doesn't mean that I don't care about the mothers' lives that are in danger or that in other case that crimes have been committed against women that resulted in the conceiving of a child.  When a father is guilty of rape, then he should be punished and not be allowed to have the same parental rights as in other cases.  The child is not responsible for a father's crime.  In the other situation ... when a mother's life is at risk in pregnancy all should be done to save both lives.
 

Giving to Help Save the Unborn Children

You now care about the preborn children or perhaps you have cared for many years, and maybe you want to know some ways that you can help.  You may already pray and do some things, but perhaps you would like to know places that you can give to help save a life.   Well, that interests me as well.  I have given to one organization at times that counsels women who are in crisis pregnancies, and from some other pretty reliable sources I have come across some other places that people can give to.  I hope to give to the others myself at some point, although I cannot give a lot.  I know there are many good places to give!  Some of these I have likely shared before, but I hope that this list will be helpful.  This will likely be a reference point for me though for giving for the unborn.  You can check them out too and see what you think.
