"180" Movie A Year Later

A year ago on September 25th a shocking life changing video entitled “180” Movie came out online.

It’s official release date was on the 26th, and it had over 1 million views by October 18th, 2011.

It now has over 3.4 Million views online alone. That doesn’t take into account the thousands of DVDs that have been distributed in various places around the U.S. and even the world.

You can watch it yourself now on YouTube:

or at

http://180movie.com

It has closed captions in many languages and a Spanish dubbed version called 180 Pelicula.

Please feel free to put comments on the YouTube video.

What made this under 34 minute documentary video spread like wildfire especially in it’s early days?

The video goes through the history of Adolph Hitler, and then it places people in an ethics situation of deciding what they would have done in a certain situation that would require them to make a decision about the value of life.

Then the interviewer (Ray Comfort) goes into the subjects of abortion and if people consider themselves good people. The video shows up the moral inconsistencies that people have, and yes, it also has a Gospel message.

This film has educated people on history and changed people’s minds on the subject of abortion and is influencing decisions on voting. Some have even professed to have repented and put their trust in Jesus after seeing this movie.

Here were some early comments people made about 180 Movie:

“Your film just led a 17 year old girl away from abortion.”
“From someone that been Pro-choice this video changed my view on life completely.”
“I was always pro-choice and now i am pro-life after watching such a powerful video.”
“It changed my mind and made me aware that I’ve got to make a stand on this issue.”
Many Christian leaders and others endorsed “180” Movie or made positive comments on it (John MacArthur, Jr., Joni Eareckson Tada, Randy Alcorn, etc., etc).

Giving to Help Save the Unborn Children

You now care about the preborn children or perhaps you have cared for many years, and maybe you want to know some ways that you can help.  You may already pray and do some things, but perhaps you would like to know places that you can give to help save a life.   Well, that interests me as well.  I have given to one organization at times that counsels women who are in crisis pregnancies, and from some other pretty reliable sources I have come across some other places that people can give to.  I hope to give to the others myself at some point, although I cannot give a lot.  I know there are many good places to give!  Some of these I have likely shared before, but I hope that this list will be helpful.  This will likely be a reference point for me though for giving for the unborn.  You can check them out too and see what you think.

1. This first one is linked from a site recommended by Randy Alcorn from my recollection (you will see the organization name when you go there - about China): https://www.denarionline.com/DonorServices/TEMPLATEPAGE.ASPX?COMP_REF=_CHAID&CONTENT=GOSOLG&DS_GO_REF=B3E0C65BFA

2. Avenues Pregnancy Clinic -  This is one that I've given a little to over a number of years.  Someone from a church I went to was involved there as well (in California):

3.  Speak for the Unborn - Recommended by Denny Burk (in Kentucky):

Christian Conveyor of Constructive Communication Connections

How To Start at Your New Church - Kevin DeYoung  This article is worth reading, although for some of us it's not so simple.  When you live far away or are disabled or limited, it's not so easy to be able to get involved the same way.

The Big Deal About Profanity - Randy Alcorn / Craig Groeschel  Do you watch movies or TV?  This article is for you.  I can definitely relate as being someone who didn't have a TV in the home for most of my growing up years.  I can relate to what Randy Alcorn said especially. This is something that most Christians ignore it seems.

Bible Reliability: M-A-P-S to Guide You through Bible Reliability - Hank Hanegraaff  Years ago I used to listen regularly to the Bible Answerman radio broadcast.  While I didn't always agree with everything said, I learned a lot of things that have been useful to me as a Christian throughout the years.  I recently have used some from this acronym that I learned back then.

The Church and Homosexuality: Ten Commitments - Kevin DeYoung  If you are communicating with people who are homosexuals or with others about homosexuality, these are things that Christians should try to remember in the way that we respond.

39 Major ProChoice Arguments and Their Refutations - Randy Alcorn  This is excellent information that you can use as a reference when responding to people about abortion.  I have used the information to help me when people give these types of arguments online.
